A spectacular pyromusical fireworks show takes place in Ottawa–Gatineau on Canada Day. The fireworks are launched from the Astrolabe at Nepean Point and light the skies over the Ottawa River, behind Parliament Hill.

The fireworks show takes place at 10 p.m. on July 1 (weather permitting).

The 2016 fireworks show includes:

  • Over 2000 aerial shells
  • 110 of the largest shells allowed in Canada

Best Spots to Enjoy the Fireworks

There are many spots in Ottawa and Gatineau with great views of the fireworks. When watching the displays from Gatineau, you have amazing views of the fireworks illuminating Parliament Hill.
